If your pet is ill or you have a routine care query then you may arrange a consultation with one of our veterinary surgeons. Our aim is to understand your concerns, examine your pet and then discuss the treatment options available including likely outcomes and possible costs where relevant. If you are unsure if you need a consultation then please contact the surgery and have a chat with one of our nursing staff who will be happy to guide you.
We all need our 'jabs', Pets too! We thoroughly recommend that all dogs, cats and rabbits are vaccinated against the serious diseases that can be protected against. The general rule is an initial course as a baby and then annual booster to keep the immunity levels high. The regimen required will depend on the type and age of your pet and some courses can start from as early as six weeks. So as soon as you have your new pet give the surgery a call and we will be more than happy to discuss the requirements with you If you have any concerns about vaccination or the protocols and options for your specific pet, please call us!
In the event of an emergency please contact the surgery, if it is in normal working hours we always do our best to prioritise your pet. The nurse will usually triage your pet on arrival to assess the urgency of the condition.
If an emergency is outside of normal surgery hours, please telephone the surgery to be directed to our local out of hours provider.
If in doubt please contact the surgery for advice.
We offer consultations that can be held in your own home. This eliminates the stress of a clinic visit and enables us to assess your animal in their own environment. Each consultation in your home will offer the same services as you would expect in a vet clinic consulting room but in an unhurried, relaxed home environment.
